In his role as Area Operations Manager at Lessing's Hospitality Group, Matthew Korb brings over 12 years of culinary expertise and leadership. His tenure at Lessing's is marked by a commitment to excellence in food and hospitality, where he focuses on providing extraordinary culinary experiences and fostering the growth and education of his team members.

Matthew's passion for cooking began in his childhood, cooking alongside his father. This early inspiration led him to pursue a formal culinary education at the Long Island Culinary Academy, where he gained extensive knowledge and practical experience.

Starting his professional journey at Grey Horse Tavern, Matthew developed a strong foundation in organic and scratch-made cooking. He further enhanced his skills at Gurwin Assisted Living Facility, serving as a Lead Line Cook and preparing enjoyable, Kosher meals for residents.

His career progressed to Carlyle at The Palace, where as a Sous Chef, he excelled in off-premise catering across the Hamptons and Manhattan. Matthew's culinary expertise was further showcased during his time as Sous Chef at The Heritage Club in Bethpage, NY, catering for high-profile events such as the PGA Tour.

Navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Matthew took on the role of Assistant Director of Dietary at West Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation. He then advanced to become the Head Chef of Five Iron Golf, Herald Square, and subsequently managed additional locations in Manhattan and Long Island City.

At Lessing's, Matthew's goal is to continue elevating the culinary experience, ensuring that each offering is unique and memorable, while also mentoring his team to achieve their best.
